The Irony of Rainy Days

Some people are afraid to get their hair wet on rainy days. I was reminded recently of a time I used to dance in it. There was no fear in me then. The world had not yet turned me into the kind of individual who is likely to think twice about such an endeavor. Sure I had been through my trials, but the future was bright. The future is always full of possibilities not yet fully understood. So I danced for fun in the rain, for myself … with my friends … in our love dance circles where we used to ground ourselves to the earth and stretch our arms out into the sky … It is an irony that rainy days are seen as such a detriment to some people when I’ve always seen them as … love … coming down in water form from the sky … waiting for a dance.
